Mokhada

Mokhada is a 100% tribal belt located 200 kms from Mumbai. The project is run by Parivartan Mahila Sanstha, a Not-for-profit organization established and run by women, with their key focus on ‘Empowering Women’.

The funding provided by Scan Packaging Private Limited (a fully owned subsidiary of Scan Holdings Private Limited) was used in enhancing the reach and impact of initiatives undertaken in Mokhada for the development and upliftment of women in the region. This included enrolling more students for school and providing them necessities for their learning, empowering the Self Help Groups, increasing awareness about MNREGA and employment under it, and making the people aware of their rights and laws that support their development.
